In 2001 Cheryl Meeker got together with some friends and founded an amazing online magazine called www.stretcher.org. How we got by in San Francisco for three years without stumbling upon this before now beets me but it’s definitely worth the wait. Recent contributors include Courtney Fink, Jennifer McCabe and Mark Van Proyen. Cheryl received her BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and has held recent exhibitions at Mission 17, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and Southern Exposure. She has instructed at California College of Art, San Francisco; Evergreen State College, Olympia; and JFK University, Berkeley. Plus she’s got a nice style on the surfboard!
